How to organize life’s most important documents
Give each folder a recognizable name, such as Immigration, Medical, or Tax (year). Then, gather everything into document folders or hanging file folders for a file container or locker. Single three-ring binders work best for stacks of smaller documents, such as the do-it-yourself stack with this month’s bills and receipts. (You can also store them in a 1-gallon freezer bag and sort them later.)
